Exterior sun shading provided by external Venetian blinds help control room temperature and absorb 60-90% of the solar radiation before it reaches the window pane (internal temperatures can fall up to 10°). Their design and structure not only compliments but enhances the architectural concept / design of a building, and they are suitable for external and internal application. Fully retractable aluminium external venetian blinds stack away unseen when not required allowing easy access for cleaning glass.
With complete sun shading control to asymmetrical shapes, designers have the freedom to include a range of window designs in areas subject to high radiant load. The special telescopic base rail together with an advanced mechanical operating system allows the blind to both tilt and fully retract; The solution is unique and the operation, accurate and smooth. Large and multisided shapes can be solved with a series of blinds.
Dim out exeternal venetian blinds provide superior light blocking capability. Three slat sizes and two shapes are available for different situations. Ideal for bedrooms, boardrooms, audio visual rooms, laboratories or anywhere where light levels need to be tightly controlled for comfort or performance. WAREMA's newly released premium model of dim out external venetian blind conceals the lifting mechanism in the side guides completely eliminating holes in the slats removing the sometimes annoying dots of light that occur when the slats are closed.
Situations arise where it's just not possible to use a retractable venetian blind system because of geometric constraint or some aspect of the building design preventing their use. In these instances WAREMA's pivoting slat system is the sun shading solution. The pivoting slat system continues the slim line venetian look with the extra benefit of allowing external shading to be applied in custom shaped designs.
Available as an option on the Flat blade external Venetian, the “Design” version includes a sculpted cassette style head-rail with a transparent Perspex fascia as an alternative approach to the conventional solid surface weathercover. The special headrail design invites the use of the blind as a special façade feature to create enhanced visual interest. Sound absorption material applied to the interior of the head cassette results in a motor that is barely audible.
Available as an option on the Flat blade external Venetian, the range of front mounted versions includes a choice of extruded head rail designs as an alternative to the conventional style weathercover. The shape and dimensions of the head enclosure are designed to match the traditional roller shutter. A fully concealed and guided flyscreen can be incorporated within the head enclosure to provide a complete window combined shade and screen solution.
Providing a more traditional external sun shading option our cedar slat version offers the significant benefits of external sun shading combined with a warm natural appearance. Premium Western Red Cedar is coated with SIKKENS clear finish to enhance the natural colors and provide long lasting protection. Over time the color will soften to grey, harmonizing with other timber elements of the design.
The slats of self supporting external Venetian blinds run in a structural guide rail that supports the pelmet and eliminates the need for a pelmet fixing point. A range of rail profiles and pelmet designs provide different visual effects and serve to express the blind as a bold façade element. It is therefore often used to add depth and color to a facade. The self supporting type can be utilized with all blade profiles and drive types.
Warema’s daylight guidance blinds use a variety of photometric concepts to reflect, filter and redirect light to the working plane where it is needed. Radiation is reflected from the interior, returning through the glazing at the same wavelength, far exceeding the limitations of other internal blind types. Installation inside the glass, interstitially or within a double skin façade allows tall buildings to be effectively shaded and together with the WAREMA LonWorks control system provide perfectly metered daylight in all light conditions.
