WAREMA was established in the year 1955 by Karl-Friedrich Wagner and Hans-Wilhelm Renkhoff in Marktheidenfeld, Germany to manufacture internal metal venetians.
The three names: WAgner, REnkoff and MArktheidenfeld make up the name WAREMA.
WAREMA was started with a vision to excel in the sun shading industry and give the world innovative ways to optimize day light. This vision was then carried forward by Angelique Renkoff- Mucke (daughter of Hans-Wilhelm Renkhoff) who has been running the company since 1998.
With Warema’s constant research and development in the field of sunshading it is now the European Leader for sun shading products and the World’s Largest Manufacturer of external venetian blinds. WAREMA employs over 2600 people in Germany alone and has offices and agents throughout the world.
