Internal Systems

Skylight, Glass Roof and Glazed Ceiling Shading Systems

Skylights and glazed ceilings are a valuable source of natural light, but without effective control they can also introduce glare and significant heat gain. Shade Factor’s large motorised skylight blinds and skylight window shades provide essential internal sun shading for overhead glazing, delivering performance-led solar control when required while maintaining design intent.

Designed for mid to large-scale applications, the system is suited to sizable skylights and fully glazed ceilings from 2 × 2 metres and above. A constant fabric tension system is highly engineered to ensure smooth, quiet and long-lasting operation across horizontal and inclined glazing. Multiple configurations are available, allowing the skylight blinds to be tailored to complex roof geometries and architectural detailing.

Flexible mounting options include surface-mounted systems for retrofit applications, recess-mounted solutions for projects with an integrated perimeter detail, or fully concealed installations using the Blindspace concealment system. Finishes include natural anodised aluminium or powder coating to a specified colour, with fabric options ranging from full block-out to high-performance sun-filtering fabrics.
